After serving in the US Navy for six years and completing three overseas deployments, Eric Swider has focused his career on private client advisory services and strategic investments. His career has supported companies ranging from innovative startups to government clients in need of community support.
Mr. Swider currently serves as the CEO and board member for Renatus Tactical Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:RTACU) and previously served as the CEO of Digital World Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ:DWAC). Prior to that he served as the interim CEO and director for DWAC. He served as the Chair for both the Compensation and Audit Committees. This position led to the completion of one of the most complex public mergers in the past decade.
Mr. Swider founded Renatus Advisors and has been serving as the Managing Partner of Renatus LLC since June 2016. Renatus Advisors works with both private and public clients to resolve complex legal, strategic, and operational matters as well as providing solutions for accessing the capital markets. From September 2016 to January 2018, Mr. Swider served as the Managing Director of Great Bay Global, where he oversaw the launch of a new business division focused on investing in alternative strategies. From December 2014 to June 2016, Mr. Swider served as the Managing Director of OHorizons Global, where he oversaw expansion of a new investment team and was responsible for working on a global basis to expand its client base and investment portfolio.
Most recently, Mr. Swider has been investing in and providing advisory services for infrastructure technology such as IOT solutions and advanced grid protection services. Through this, he founded a start-up, RUBIDEX, that is focused on SCADA systems protection and decentralized data encryption for industrial controls.
He has been directly involved in complex distressed portfolio transactions. This includes sourcing, underwriting, finance, risk-management, oversight and exit strategy. In addition, he has created investment and disposition strategies for corporations, has managed private assets for multiple institutions, and has deep experience in industrial logistics, process and maintenance cycle planning.
Mr. Swider has over 25 years of experience working across multiple industries providing financial, transactional, and operational expertise. He has an extensive background in debt restructuring and negotiations, strategic planning, and complex project management. Mr. Swider has cross border multi-national P&L and M&A experience. He previously ran a private equity investment firm from start-up, developing a diverse global pipeline across multiple asset classes. Advising on both debt and equity transactions; the group focused on industrial, energy and automotive including electric vehicle platforms. He worked for institutional shareholders underwriting risk, creating capital plans, and operational strategies as well as strategic and growth development plans.
